The Bellaire Police Department reported the following incidents June 13 through June 19.

ASSAULT
June 14, 10:46 a.m.: Officers responded to a disturbance and report of an assault at the Bellaire Inn, 6639 Ferris St., where a woman told police her boyfriend hit her after she slapped him during an argument over another woman. No charges were filed, by request of the Harris County Assistant District Attorney, "due to mutual combatants."

BURGLARY
June 15, 1:43 p.m.: Groceries were stolen during a break-in of a vehicle parked outside First Service Credit Union, 4300 Bissonnet St. The incident is under investigation.

June 16, 10:49 a.m.: Copper wiring was reported as stolen sometime since February from a home under construction in the 4700 block of Wedgewood Drive. The incident is under investigation.

June 17, 4:22 p.m.: A burglary of a residence is under investigation after police responded to an alarm in the 100 block of Pamellia Drive.

June 18, 1:03 p.m.: A residence in the 4400 block of Lula Street was reportedly burglarized sometime between June 15 and June 18. The incident is under investigation.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
June 17, 12:28 p.m.: A vehicle break-in was reported outside Chase Bank, 5104 Bellaire Blvd., but nothing was reportedly stolen. The incident is under investigation.

DEATH INVESTIGATION
June 19, 10:57 a.m.: An officer was dispatched to the 4600 block of Pine Street to assist Bellaire EMS with a deceased resident.

DOG BITE
June 1, 9:55 a.m.: A visitor to a residence in the 4500 block of Medinah Place reported being bitten by a dog the previous day on the front porch. The dog was taken in for quarantine, which lasts until June 23. Pending negative results for rabies, the dog will be released back to the owner.

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
June 13, 4:18 a.m.: Edward Garcia, 42, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after an officer stopped a vehicle for having a front bumper dragging on the ground and for hitting a curb in the 6700 block of Renwick Drive.

FORGERY
June 17, 10:49 a.m.: A woman reportedly tried to cash a forged check made out to herself at Wells Fargo, 5102 Bellaire Blvd. The incident is under investigation.

IDENTITY THEFT
June 16, 9:47 a.m.: A man at TY Art, 1303 N. First St., reported that an unknown suspect had used his business credit card number to make unauthorized purchases online.
