Razer's Licensed Products Roll Out for Transformers
Michael Bay's newest things-go-BOOM flick, Transformers: Dark of the Moon came out today, and gaming peripheral maker Razer is jumping aboard the merchandising train with a new Transformers 3 Collector's Edition Gaming Suite.
The new lineup is comprised of three products: a series of branded Razer DeathAdder mice, a dual-sided Razer Vespula mouse mat, and a new laptop case, all Transformers themed. (None of the products actually transform, however.)
The DeathAdder mice come in Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Shockwave, and Megatron-themed color combinations; each branded with the Autobot or Decepticon logo. Each mouse is designed for ergonomic, right-handed use and feature 3500 dpi infrared sensors as well as a response time of one millisecond. The Transformers mice cost $69.99 each through Razer's Web site.
The Razer Vespula mouse mat features two sides for gamers to choose. The first is a speed-increasing surface featuring Autobot leader Optimus Prime. On the other side of the mat is a surface meant to increase control. The control side of the mat boasts an image of Megatron, sovereign of the Decepticons. The mat comes with a gel-filled wrist rest to increase comfort. The Transformers themed Vespula mouse mat will run gamers $44.99 through through Razer's online store.
Finally, the custom Transformers laptop cases hold laptops up to 15 inches. The cases are hard plastic shells with padding on the inside and come in the same color schemes as the mice – red, yellow, silver and purple. The cases have either the Autobot or Decepticon logo adorning them, as well. The laptop cases are currently not available for purchase, but will carry a price tag of $49.99 when they're sold through Razer's store.
The Transformers 3 Collector's Edition Gaming Suite is only available in North America.
