Sikorsky Aerospace Services Advances State-of-the-Art BLACK HAWK Training ...

Based on the agreement reached last year with the Colombian Ministry of Defense, the facility will offer a full motion, high fidelity BLACK HAWK helicopter simulator to support pilot and flight crew training for the Colombian Armed Services and Sikorsky military customers throughout . The simulator is FAA Level D rated – the highest qualification currently available.  Equipped with industry leading electric motion and control loading technology, it will offer a highly detailed cockpit replication of all controls and aircraft systems including wide-field outside-world visual systems. All components are mounted on six degree-of-freedom motion platforms that respond to pilot control movements and external aerodynamic factors.

Earlier this year, we expanded our service platform to include a maintenance support team. And currently, we are advancing depot capabilities for crash and battle damaged aircraft. This training facility represents another major milestone toward our overall commitment to Sikorsky customers in (CIAC), the acquisition arm of the Colombian Ministry of Defense.  Scheduled to be fully operational by the last quarter of this year, the training center will be staffed with two experienced BLACK HAWK pilots serving as simulator operators and three maintenance personnel to maintain the simulator in optimum operational state.

A new 3 part episode style (15 minutes each instead of 5 10 minutes each-approximately). On January 17, 2008, British Airways Flight 38 a twin engined Boeing 777 was crippled when the plane occured an uncommanded thurust rollback. The engines had failed. Just 250 feet from the ground the Captain raises one knotch of flaps and it gives them a few more feet of flying time. It passes over the A30 road and it crashes 1000 feet from the foot of the runway at London’s busy Heathrow airport. @sweetride01: If you re-read my comment you’ll see I was not referring to that particular aircraft per se, I was saying that on every program, or almost every program which deals with this subject matter the producers seems to always refer to the aircraft as one of the most modern etc … besides it was also said in comedy .. Evidently some people sitting in the cheap seats don’t have a sense of humor ..God love em’ !
